Texas Wildflower Trails Shop Hop
Get your Shop Hop shoes on and join your friends for the Texas Wildflower Trails Shop Hop this Thursday-Saturday, March 24-26. There are 8 shops on the Hop: A Sewing Basket in Salado, Quiltin Cousins in Clifton, Quilts ‘n More in Midlothian, Common Threads in Waxahachie, Poppy Quilt ‘N Sew in Georgetown, Quiltin’ Country in Killeen, Tomorrow’s Quilts in Waco and Cotton Cottage in Fairfield. The stores are open from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm on Thursday and Friday and 9:00am – 6:00 pm on Saturday. The theme this year is Holiday Hopping 2011 and each shop represents a holiday. A Sewing Basket in Salado is Christmas. Great prizes are available to win to those that complete the Hop. You can pick up a free passport at any of the participating shops.
The 11th Annual Wildflower Art Fair in Salado is this Saturday and Sunday. While you are on the Shop Hop in Salado, stop at the Salado Civic Center for live music, food and vendors.
The newest fabric arrival is American Valor by Marcus Brothers Fabrics. There is a great panel and beautiful fabric in this line.
We also have a new kit available just in time for Easter. This quilt is 44” x 59” and the kit includes the fabric for front, back and pattern for $75.00.

The Paper Doll class is this Saturday. Call us at 254-947-5423 to sign up. Brenda Shade has designed a new quilt called Storybook quilts. The blocks are dresses from different princesses in the Disney movies.
Future classes are Simple Bargello with Sally Parker on Saturday, April 2, Beginning Machine Quilting on Saturday, April 16, Beginning Applique on Saturday, April 30, Designer Jackets on Friday, April 29 and May 20 (two-part class), the Next Step (different ways to make triangle and Flying Geese blocks) on Saturday, May 7 and Corded Bowls and Handbags on Sunday, May 1.
